Holiday Blues :(

Apologies for the lack of posting these past few days but just back from a wonderful girly holiday in the beautiful little french village of Cassis, just east of Marseilles, a place where the sun does not forget to shine, the fruit is so fresh and fragrant and the wine, well lets just say it flows!

Think old village streets with white linen lines, pastel windows and doors, market squares buzzing with crafty vendors and shaded petanque battles! (thats a game of boules to you and me ) and watching the world go by sipping a glass of kir on the port. And when you think it can't get any better, Cassis is home to Les Calanques a set of breath taking little sheltered inlets you can trek to or visit by boat. BLISS.

So home it is to la rain, with a suit case packed with Savon de Marseille. That's those big colourful blocks of olive oil based soap you see in the market pic's up there. Trust me this soap is the stuff of legends, its hand-crafted in Marseille by Maitre de Savon (soapmaster no less!) using the same pure ingredients and techniques for centuries and leaves you skin feeling like a little piece of  Provence.
