Deck the halls with Mandarin, Vanilla, Cinnamon & Ginger

Apparently most candles are made with parrafin wax, which can be so toxic it can make your head hurt. Which is why Wicklow native Sineád O'Connor, of  Amie Organics,  makes her beautiful candles from soya beans and pure essential oils. (Yes soya!) Each AMIE candle is handpoured, cleaned & packaged by Sinead herself and costs €18.95. Her range includes, pick me up scents of Rose Geranium, detoxifying Lemongrass & Sweet Orange Oil  and this fragrant festive number.

Slates...who knew?

Mr. Hammond is a roofing slater from a family of Slate Craftsmen since the 18th Century. Mrs Hammond needed a table mat for her dinner table, grabbed one of his pieces of slate and Slated.ie was born. The Wicklow based duo now produce a whole range of gorgeous handcrafted slate tableware and home products, from table mats & cake stands to clocks and cheesboards. And the beauty of slate...you can chalk a little message on it. (image credit: slated.ie)
