I recently had the pleasure of visiting an exhibition of modern lighting from nineteen of Ireland's most exciting designers currently on show (until the May 31st) in The Malthouse Design Centre – a mentored start up space for up and coming young graduates. From floor to ceiling the lofty studio space at its Dublin’s North Circular Rd hub is adorned and hung with colorful chandeliers, quirky table lamps and designer wall fixtures. My first festival - awhh!

Call me optimistic but they say tomorrow is going to be another warm day with summer like tendencies- two in a row, imagine. So with the prospect of actually enjoying the great outdoors this summer, how adorable are these little teepee plays tents by Little Lemon Trees, hand made from gorgeous patterned fabrics. What a cute little festival vibe you could get going in the garden- kinda want one myself! Wrapped up in 'grá'

Just back from a magical little wedding in the enchanting grounds of Rathsallagh house - (like been on the set of a Beatrix potter novel I swear!). So I thought it apt to send some true Irish 'grá' with the couples wedding gift in the form of this gorgeous hand made heart designed gift wrap by Belfast based design studio Placed.
They make beautiful things all adorned with an Irish/Gaelic word from the paper and cards above to these cute tea towels. Its nice to have little reminders of our culture around the house.
**grá is the Irish word for Love.
