Wow wow WOW! The utterly intriguing and beautiful work of NCAD graduate Daniela Cardillo, who has just been shortlisted for this year’s European Prize for Applied Arts. Taxidermy, hunting trophies, Victorian mourning jewellery and finding the 'beauty in death' inspire these stunning Gothic pieces which she handcrafts using using bones from rodents and horsehair- really! She will find out next week if she has won the award, so fingers crossed over here!...She will soon have an online store here. |
